Freyda Thomas has been entertaining audiences since the age of 12. She began her singing career as vocalist with her father, Eddie Shaw, a popular bandleader from the 1950s through the 1980s. Freyda then went on to develop a long career on Broadway and in television, appearing on such shows as “Murphy Brown,” "Murder, She Wrote," “Newhart," and in many Broadway musicals, including "The Sound of Music," "Shenandoah," " Oklahoma," and "My Fair Lady." All these varied musical careers have enriched Freyda’s repertoire with a vast array of song styles, from Broadway and nostalgia to early rock and roll.
Now Freyda's sparkling voice and personality are available for entertainment in over-55 communities, retirement communities, facilities, church groups and anywhere where seniors gather, in Montgomery County, PA. Her audiences have been raving about her unique voice and the way she interacts with her audiences, involving them in the creation of entertainment.
